Whitley have been drawn at home to Penrith in the 3rd Round of the Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup. No date has yet been announced for the game but as always in the League Cup it will be a midweek fixture. The sides have already met three times this season, twice in the FA Cup back in August, a 1-1 draw in Cumbria being followed by a replay at Hillheads which Whitley won 3-1. Then a month later in the league fixture at Hillheads, Whitley came out on top again with a 2-0 victory. Penrith have had a change of management since those three games so they could be a different proposition in the League Cup tie.
