Please take the time to browse through the pages of our new website. It is still a work in progress and more features will be added over the coming weeks.
If you experience any problems or would like to comment on the new website please contact our new webmaster Alfie Powley via the Contacts page.
Hi. I’m leaving a comment here as I can’t find a “Contacts” page. There is a “Contact us” link, but that seems to be for contacting the club and doesn’t allow you to send something directly to Alfie. I’m confused.
Anyway, two initial thoughts. When entering the website or moving to a new page you are faced with a large picture and absolutely no links or buttons to press unless you first scroll down the page. To me this is extremely irritating. For a casual visitor it could be very offputting and lead to people just passing on without finding anything. Pictures are all very well, but people come to the site for information and I feel that’s what should be prioritised.
Secondly, why are the league fixtures listed separately from the cup fixtures? How unhelpful is that?

Thank you for your comment sorry for the confusen. If you use the contact form on the site alfie will be able to see it. I hope this helps. Also thank you for your input on the new site we are looking improve the site were needed.
Hi, I have adjusted the size of the banner image. Now when you first log on to the website you will now see the menu bar at the bottom of the screen without scrolling. alfie
I haven’t had time yet to look at all the website contains but so far it’s a vast improvement on its predecessor and much less “clunky”. The link to directions for away games is excellent and very detailed and was missing from the previous website. A suggestion (not sure if viable) would be to link the directions to each away match when that game becomes our “next game” – this was available on the original website. I love the history section and will definitely spend more time looking in there. I’m looking forward to using this new website and am sure it will grow on us. Well done and thank you Alfie.
Hi Kath – Thank you for your comments. This website is an ongoing project and, with the supporters’ input and suggestions on what you would like to see, this will help us to create a website that best represents Whitley Bay Football Club. We are still adding to the history section and over the coming weeks we will continue to add to it. I’ll look to adding a link to the next away match and you can let me know what you think? Alfie
Hi Alfie,
Thanks for making the quick adjustment regarding the position of buttons when opening a new page. I can now see the toolbar as soon as each window opens and it makes a big difference. It’s great to know that with this site someone seems to be listening and responding. That in itself is a massive improvement over the previous site. Thank you.

Got to say that the new website is far better than the last one. Still feeling my way around certain aspects of it but you have made a good start.
