FA Cup tie v Blyth Spartans to be live streamed

We are pleased to announce that a live stream will be in operation for this Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Second Round Qualifying tie against Blyth Spartans.

In normal times a crowd of around 2,000 would be expected to pack Hillheads for this local derby but increased Covid-19 restrictions imposed during the past week mean that only 150 fans will be allowed inside the ground with no away supporters permitted to attend this eagerly awaited game which is one of the ties of the round. This is naturally very disappointing for everyone associated with both Whitley Bay and Blyth Spartans.

However the clubs have worked closely in recent days to enable those unable to attend to have the chance to watch the game from the comfort of your own home.

From 2:55pm on Saturday, you will be able to watch a live streaming of the game with commentary from Blyth Live commentators Kieran Carr and Phil Castiaux.

The cost of the stream is £8 (including VAT).

In the meantime, all you need to do is register with the Insight4 website and purchase the game via the following link:

The live streams have been tried and tested by Blyth during pre-season and while we do not anticipate any problems, we ask that you are patient with the media volunteers.

With the two clubs just seven miles apart and with rich histories in the competition, this clash at Hillheads is set up to be a thrilling contest.

Continuing our new feature at home games this season, commentary will also be provided by BayCast with the link to be advertised in due course.
