Craig Spooner has left Whitley Bay to join West Auckland Town. The midfielder arrived at Hillheads in September after a short spell at Blyth Spartans and made 14 appearances, scoring twice. Manager Nathan Haslam commented “Naturally, I’m disappointed to be losing ‘Spoons’. He’s been a good lad to have around the place and has been a pleasure to manage, but he has been presented with an opportunity he feels he can’t turn down. It’s football, and we move on wishing him well for the future.”
