Teenage midfielder Kieran Brannen has left Whitley Bay and signed for Ashington. He arrived at Hillheads from New Hartley Juniors and after some impressive performances initially with the Reserves during 2017/18, he established himself in the first team squad last season, playing 28 games, many of those as a substitute, and he scored four goals. His pacy runs from midfield made him a favourite with the fans but he has been unable to command a place in the squad this season, making just one substitute appearance.
His family have been tremendous supporters of the club, attending home and away games on a regular basis.
