Manager Andy Gowens was very unhappy with his team’s performance in the 4-0 defeat at Bishop Auckland. “It was a terrible start with a goal in the first 30 seconds. We just didn’t defend it properly, but then we settled and were in the game and I thought we dominated it for about 30 minutes. Then again we gave away a silly goal. But the biggest thing for me is the way we capitulated in the second half. It’s the basics we’re not doing right, we were second to the second balls every time. We‘re just not working hard enough, we hadn’t got enough desire. It was ok while things were going well in the first half but when things got tough people started to hide.”
“It’s not good enough and I want to apologise to all our fans who came along today.”
