Defender Jack Walker has returned to Hillheads, completing his transfer from West Auckland in time to play in last night’s game against Penrith. Now aged 26, Jack began his career at Whitley Bay, progressing through the Reserves to make his first team debut at the start of the 2012-13 season. He then moved to Durham City and more recently Seaham Red Star, before joining West Auckland during the summer. We would like to welcome Jack back to Hillheads.
His return to the club coincides with the departure, until Christmas, of fellow defender Jack Byerley who is working in London. Byerley, who is also a product of the Reserves side, has made a good impression this season and was named August Player of the Month.
