Goalkeeper Dan Lister, who has recently signed a new contract with the club, is targeting clean sheets and entertaining football in the year ahead. The 21 year old is clearly determined to make a good impression after keeping fit during the Covid enforced break which curtailed last season back in October, just as Whitley were hitting form.
“Obviously I can’t wait to get started after last season got cut short. I’ve been keeping sharp during the pandemic and am hoping to transfer that hard work into performances on the pitch throughout the campaign.
“I’d like for us as a squad to produce some entertaining football for the fans, who I am sure are as keen to get back into Hillheads as we are, and that this will be reflected in both the league and cups giving us a shot at some silverware this season. On a personal level I’m hoping to produce some good performances and keep as many clean sheets as possible along the way.”
