Whitley Bay have agreed terms with Shildon striker Brad Hird and he will become the club’s third signing of the summer. The 21 year old joined the Railwaymen just over a year ago from Durham City and during his time at Dean Street, he made over 40 appearances.
Bay manager Nathan Haslam said he was delighted to have brought in Hird and was really looking forward to working with him. “He has all the qualities we need in a striker. He has a great attitude and the potential to go higher than the Northern League. He is a very good acquisition.”
Whitley fans may remember that Brad scored the first goal in the 2-2 draw when the sides met at Dean Street in March, which was coincidentally, Nathan Haslam’s first game as Bay manager.
We would like to welcome Brad to Hillheads and we hope he enjoys his time with us!
