Whitley are at home to Guisborough Town this weekend hoping to put the disappointment of Wednesday’s League Cup defeat behind them. That result ended Nathan Haslam’s unbeaten start as Bay manager but he will be determined to see his side bounce back and record their fourth consecutive league victory. Guisborough are currently in 16th place and without a victory since January when they overcame North Shields. However, they put up a good fight on Tuesday evening before going down 3-1 against Dunston UTS who were crowned champions after that result.
When the sides met at the King George V Stadium in November, a second half goal from Peter Glen-Ravenhill looked to be giving Whitley all three points until a stoppage time equaliser earned the Priorymen a 1-1 draw.
Whitley will have Dan Lister and Dan Wright both available again this weekend after the pair were cup-tied in midweek.
