We are delighted to announce that we have signed Ben Richardson from neighbours North Shields. Ben is an attacking midfielder and was a member of the Robins’ FA Vase winning side in 2015. He is not eligible for the FA Cup as he is cup-tied, having played for North Shields in their defeat to Consett earlier in the competition but he will be able to play in the FA Vase and other cup competitions. We would like to welcome Ben to Hillheads and hope he enjoys his time with us.
Going in the opposite direction is David Hall, who progressed through the Reserves but has been unable to command a regular place in the first team. He has made two substitute appearances this season, most recently in the FA Cup victory over Barnoldswick last Saturday. In all David made 18 first team appearances for Whitley Bay. He was a popular member of the club and we wish him well in his future career.
