There has been a delay in announcing the new season’s fixtures, which are usually released at the Northern League AGM which this year was held in Alnwick on Saturday 2nd June. Due to major reorganisation of the non-league structure, a number of clubs have appealed against their provisional placement for 2018/19 and these appeals have yet to be heard by the FA so the final composition of the Northern League’s two divisions has still to be confirmed.
What has been confirmed however is that the season will begin on Saturday 4th August and the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round will take place the following weekend. The FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round is scheduled for Saturday 1st September. The draw for the early rounds of both competitions is expected to be made during the first week of July.
