Whitley’s 3-1 defeat by Dunston UTS at Hillheads brought this response from a clearly disappointed Marc Nash. “It took a bit of time to reflect on this game as there was huge disappointment immediately after the final whistle. We were on a good run in the league and nobody saw this coming especially after half an hour because we were dominant. I think the key time in the game was the last fifteen minutes of the first half where our levels of intensity started to drop. We should have got to half time 2-0 up but instead we were at 1-1 and facing a difficult second half such were the conditions. We have become hard to beat but this was a rare occasion where by the end we were miles away from being in the game. We had words in the changing room and everyone will be keen to bounce back and we have the perfect opportunity with a cup match on Tuesday.”
