Marc Nash gives his reaction to Whitley’s 1-1 draw at home to Bishop Auckland. “Sometimes when you score a late equaliser it feels like a win but there was disappointment in the dressing room afterwards because we have under performed, especially in the first half. Of course we were without some influential players but they were there for the taking in my opinion. The goals conceded in our last two home games have been very disappointing and very avoidable but to be fair to young Dan Lister, he has reacted well and actually kept us in with a chance of getting something from the game with a few great saves. He’s young and he will learn from the error. A huge positive is the way we always keep going and manage to score so many late goals. We’ve got great resilience and a great belief that we can create something and the goal was a result of a passing move rather than just lumping the ball in desperation. We want to be up and around where we finished last season so we need to turn more draws into wins and that is the aim heading into the half way mark.
We have a run of cup matches now so hopefully in ten days time we are in the hat in all 3 competitons as we want to do well in every game.”
