Last week the club held a party to celebrate the 80th birthday of Tommy Moody.
Tommy has been a tremendous servant to Whitley Bay Football Club for well over 30 years. He was club secretary for 10 years and later became a director. For many years he ran the canteen and souvenir shop and organised coach travel for supporters, most notably the long distance FA Vase games including all four finals.
He is now President of the Supporters Club having previously served as Chairman. In recognition of his many years of service to Whitley Bay FC he was awarded the prestigious Northern League Unsung Hero award in 2012.
We would like to congratulate Tommy on reaching this milestone and look forward to seeing him at Hillheads for many years to come!
