Whitley completed their pre-season programme with a 3-0 victory at Jarrow FC on a damp Thursday night on South Tyneside. The only goal of the first half came after 29 minutes when Alex Kempster drove the ball low past the keeper with an attempted clearance by a defender only helping the ball into the net.
Fifteen minutes from time, Dillon Blake crossed for Andy Robertson to slot home the second and six minutes later, Chris McDonald, playing against his former club, got the third after being played through on goal.
17 year old goalkeeper Sean Gordge played the full 90 minutes and gave a good account of himself, while new signing Nick Allen also made his first appearance in Bay colours.
